Micrometer?
 

Hey All:

Can anybody throw a micrometer on the slide of their G39 to tell me the exact width? I'm having a kydex IWB made for it, and the maker wanted the spedifics.

Short of a Lufkin tape measure, I'm fresh out of micrometers. :whistling:

Be careful. To a machinist, exact size is a "press fit".

Will I need a "persuader" to get the gun into the holster?

Most of the bigger holster makers use a 'bluegun' or a facsimile to mould or form their holsters. Should your maker have one? Dunno.

G39 slide width is 30mm or one and three sixteenths inches or 1.18"

Turns out he had the mold for a G30, so I think we're GTG.

It will be an IWB tuckable from PJ Holster, for the G39. www.pjholster.com

I've been making-do with a couple of older OWB holsters from my BIL who is retired law enforcement, until I decided if I was comfortable carrying.

I also ordered a Raven Concealment for the G37, and I'll try both OWB and IWB with it. Wait time is a little extreme at 4-5 months...

Lots of good reviews for both of these makers, it will be interesting to see how they work, or don't, for me.
