Gen4 magwell question
 

My gen4 glock 17 is my first pistol and am looking into a magwell and read that the gen4 with medium back strap is similar to the gen3, my question is will a gen3 magwell work on a gen4 with medium back strap?

I know Dawson Precision makes an aluminum magwell for gen4's but was looking at the stainless magwell that glock workx make.

No, a Gen3 magwell will not fit any Gen4. The insert goes in the slot in the rear of the frame. This area is much smaller on the Gen4 guns.

With the Glockworx magwell you cannot run any additional backstraps.
