Actress Stacey Dash recently tweeted her support for Mitt Romney and has since been deluged with tweets accusing her of everything from betraying her race to "supporting white supremacy".

I would agree if she were trash-talking anyone, but I don't think merely voicing your support for somebody on a tweet is crossing any lines.

Accusing a black woman of supporting white supremacy and betraying her race simply because she supports Mitt Romney, however, IS crossing a line. This sort of crap just illustrates one reason why so many otherwise socially conservative blacks support Democratic candidates. If they don't, they get absolutely RAVAGED by black Democrats for 'breaking ranks'.

Several others told her she should actually KILL HERSELF!

Where are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton on this? Where are the public cries of outrage from these "crusaders against racism"?

I certainly don't like Romney (or Obama for that matter), but how is someone going to discredit Romney by accusing him or his voters on being white supremacists or racists. That'd be just as silly as discrediting Obama because he's black.

Sounds to me like most of those who criticized her need to look into both presidential candidate's voting histories, and worry about the color of their skin less.

It's interesting that at present (2:44PM CST) there is no mention whatsoever of this story on either MSNBC's or CBS's news websites. To their credit, CNN does feature the story.

I can't help but think that if this was a well known white actress getting lambasted as a race-traitor for tweeting an endorsement of Obama we'd see it featured quite prominently on EVERY major news website.
