I remember some time ago, a woman died of water intoxication after drinking large amounts of water as part of a radio call-in contest.

It's probably a good idea not to ingest unreasonably massive quantities of anything at one time.

None of the other contestants got ill, so that largely rules out bug poisons or other pathogens.

My guess would be he either had an allergy or some pre-existing condition.

Either way, that's irresputably discusting way to go out!

I'm surprised the guy on the "Man against Food" show on the Travel channel doesn't go face down in a plate of French Fries,or ultra hot wings sometime.

By the way I live in Deerfield Beach where this took place. Only about a mile from my house. I will be interested in hearing the actual cause of death when it is determined. Is it possible he asphyxiated on the vomit? Eye witnesses in the news reports are saying he was vomiting profusely and his face was covered in roach parts. There is a video online that shows this was a pretty big event with a packed crowd in the store.

Like suicide bombers, you just gotta wonder what the heck were they thinking? He died eating live roaches. There are some dumb ways to die and surely that must be near the top of the list.

I wish we had the opportunity to see one hour into the future. I wonder what that knot head would have thought if the preview showed that he would be dead in the next hour from eating live roaches? It probably wouldn't have made any difference.
