any PM45 owners?
ive read plenty of problems with this model. if you have one what problems have you had with it?
|
I've had a PM45 for 2 trouble free years. Even the 200 round break-in was without a single problem.
|
Just a couple (2) of feed issues during break-in. Since then no problems. Completely satisfied!
|
not a PM45, but a CW45, the slidestop would work its way out every so often. the spring screw would loosen up
|
Well lets see... I had a jam of just about every kind imaginable... Mags dropping out of the gun under fire... Trip back to Kahr... No improvement..
At roughly 800 rounds I gave up.. Could have been me not the gun.. However... I don't seem to have trouble with my 357s... My 10mm, my desert eagles both in 44 mag and 50 ae... (Im not recoil sensitive ) But who knows..... Not a gun for me however |

I had feed issues when it was new till after 250 round break in. It also would never feed Hornady XTP 230gr. or 200gr. After break in and after another 500 rounds to make me feel better it was my carry gun. Go to the range every other week and on the 3rd trip with it after approx 1000 rounds the trigger would not reset. Had a new trigger bar installed *( known problem ) put another 500 rounds through it and never carried it again, did not feel it was reliable enough. After another 500 rounds at the range the trigger would not reset again. Got it fixed, traded it in on a G36.

Honestly, I believe the best solution to fix most Kahr pistols is as follows:
Simply drop it into one of these bad boys... problem solved . http://i46.tinypic.com/1gnlzr.jpg  |

a few 7th grader remarks here....i thought id get better responses from folks here.
ive owned a few all steel kahrs and they were great right out of the box. my PM9 is 100% as well. was wondering about the smallest currently produced .45acp semi-auto though..... |

Looks to me like you were sorely mistaken. Sorry my response wasn't up to your "standards" Guess your pm45 isn't up to par with all your other fine kahrs. |
Shoot one before you buy one. It's increased recoil and decreased magazine capacity dramatically favor the PM9, in my opinion.

I bought one when they first came out. It had at least 1 failure to feed on every single magazine fired. It was replaced with a second PM45 that proved to be worse than the first one. I received my money back. I cannot recommend the gun based on my experience but I'm glad to see they work well for some.

Blast from the past
It's been a while, but here are my thoughts from 2010:
http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1190002 The pictures aren't around anymore, but I stand by the post. I've been mostly shooting other pistols since then, but am still very happy with my PM45. Wilson |
