Do you carry to social events like dinner with friends, family?

So say you are invited to a family dinner, a dinner at your boss' place, or lunch with friends that aren't really close. Do you carry?

Absolutely!

collim1 09-29-2012 00:56

Yup, I keep a jframe around just for pocket carry in dress clothes.

Radam3 09-29-2012 01:00

Every time I leave the house I am carrying, so yes. If I end up somewhere where it is not legal for me, there is a safe in my truck.

Before you can lead, you must refuse to follow

OhioShooter12 09-29-2012 02:04

Yep and it's never an issue because they don't know it's there.

Breadman03 09-29-2012 03:40

Yes. Keep it concealed.

Deployment Solu 09-29-2012 04:22

Absolutely!!! Most of them are armed as well!! Crashing a dinner party is not safe with us!! LOL!!!

eracer 09-29-2012 04:49

Everywhere it's legal to do so.

Lowjiber 09-29-2012 05:55

I live in a very quiet, secure neighborhood. It's zero-dark-thirty here by the totally private pool area, and I have an LC9/Remora combo stuck in my waistband.

I only mention this to reinforce the idea that if I have clothes on, I'm armed. I can't imagine going anywhere without a weapon these days. Besides, if you carry concealed...who's gonna know?

Hour13 09-29-2012 06:08

Everywhere. Period.

tadbart 09-29-2012 06:13

Snowsport 09-29-2012 06:35

I did just that last week - except that it was a 2-piece suit.

Which are the least likely situations in which you'll need to carry.

Except maybe in grizzly country., and then my pocket pistol won't do me much good.

FLglockdude 09-29-2012 06:55

Always, concealed means concealed.

If I want. If not, my friends or family will probably be carrying. Where I'm from, carrying a gun is just a normal thing. I sometimes carry my grandmother's S&W Mod. 60 that she gave me when she was too old to pull the trigger anymore. My mother usually keeps her gun at home, but my brother always has one on him and my wife and father have it either on them or in the car.

The only time I don't carry is when I plan on having some drinks.

Yes. No one ever sees even a hint of it.

steveksux 09-29-2012 08:26

Sure, even if you don't need it at the party you need to get to the party. Bad stuff happens everywhere and anywhere anymore. You just never know. But you'll probably never need it, so if it makes you feel uncomfortable, leave it at home, you'll probably be just fine either way.
