Cochise County, AZ Sheriff killed in car crash
 

Unlike a number of sideshow freaks that somehow got elected to be Arizona sheriffs, Larry Dever was a decent person and a good cop. He was killed heading to a hunting trip near Williams, in northern Arizona.

Oh, man...this is bad news. I worked with Larry years ago on a convoluted fugitive case. He was definitely one of the best!

I saw him in interviews a few times. Seemed like a good, honest man. He will be missed. RIP.
