blueiron 07-04-2012 20:24

I'm back after years of exile from the social threads.

lawman800 07-04-2012 20:25

Damn you. I was going to be first here but the computer locked up.

blueiron 07-04-2012 20:28

Welcome back, Fearless Ldr! :wavey:

blueiron 07-04-2012 20:31

Back for a while!

blueiron 07-04-2012 20:32

And a big thanks.

blueiron 07-04-2012 20:41

Anyone doing the fireworks thing tonight?

Hack 07-04-2012 21:34

No. But, I had neighbours who were kind enough to blast some off behind my duplex, so I could wake up and go to work; and it of course annoyed my my wife, (every frickin' year). They will run out in a few days, and life will go back to what passes as normal.

Better fireworks than firearms. Thanks for the welcome back.

Amen! I'm glad that, by the time I get home, most of the idiots have already passed out.

blueiron 07-05-2012 00:18

It was dead quiet here after 2130. I am shocked that it was so sedate here.

RMolina628 07-05-2012 05:04

Fireworks stopped at about 2345 around here, then was promptly woke up around 0355 for yet another severe thunderstorm warning, for my county this time. Power is out across a good chunk of the county, I haven't even looked outside for damage. National weather Service in my area is calling for several rounds of severe weather today with a muggy high of 100 with the heat index around 110. A perfect day to lose power.

RyanNREMTP 07-05-2012 06:43

Fireworks wasn't that bad here. I think it's because everyone (well, those that actually work) have to get up in the morning and go to work.

lawman800 07-05-2012 08:56

Fireworks didn't stop until two... my dog was crazy all night... but then again, the neighbors had been playing with fireworks for a month... cops running around all night along with the FD... it sounded like a damn war out here.

CJStudent 07-05-2012 09:08

By the time I got home, all was quiet. It greatly surprised me, though; New Year's sounded like Fallujah here.

blueiron 07-06-2012 01:14

It's very quiet on the forum tonight.

RMolina628 07-06-2012 05:11

Power is finally restored after some nasty thunderstorms early on the 5th, and then in the afternoon. The weekend is supposed to be much cooler here, with highs in the low 80's
