Anybody here try Precision One ammo?
 
I was messing around on gunbroker today looking at 10mm ammo and saw some from a place called Prcision One Ammo. They make new and reloaded ammo. Their website doesn't state the velocities on their 180grn ammo. Wonder if this stuff is any good???

OK I got an e-mail back from these guys. They say their 180grn has a velocity of 1125-1150. Not as hot as Underwood.

ran a box of 500 "new" 230g fmj standard loads rounds through my 36 without any issues. they had good kick for standard load.

nices guys located in charleston, sc and they come out to the local guns shows.

however i noticed that google has flaged their website with possible malware... not sure what that's about...

looks like they took care of the malware deal - they are running go daddy sercuity...

back to the ammo - they will do custom loads as hot as u like with different powder mixes...

their target loads are a little hotter than wally worlds brands....

Hawkeye - saw your post so I thought I'd help you out on ammo choices for the 10mm.

I'm the guy on youtube and facebook that has chronographed 75 different rounds all from the same glock 20.

That energy list is awesome... Frightening to see the variations in loads...

underwood is light years ahead of everybody else...

Energy is a calculated value derived from the measured velocity and bullet weight.

The calculation for engergy is:

velocity (FPS) squared times the bullet weight (grains). Divide that value by a constant that is roughly 450,400.

Data from drsjr1969 input into the equation gives:

(1551*1551*155)/450400 => 828 lb/ft.

Lots o' energy in that load!

As a side note, the highest energy I have personally chronographed through my G20 is 889 lb/ft with a handloaded Nosler 135 gr JHP. That was a scorcher!

well according to underwoords sight the 155gn tmj is listed at 1500fps and 775 lbs of energy. Your math is incorrect.

Energy = .5 * weight * velocity^2 / 7000 / 32.175

My math is correct. So is yours. You are using the mfg box flap velocity. drsjr1969 is using his chronographed number.

Try plugging the measured velocity of 1551 fps rather than the box flap velocity of 1500.

Hey guys, There is a video to go with every chronograph result I have and those 155 gr were sent to me for personal testing by Kevin Underwood to help test out a new load he was working on.

Awesome isn't it getting over 800 ft lbs from a completely stock G20.

Energy = (m x v2) / 450240 = 775 ft/lbs
