CCW holsters for G19's
What is your holster of choice for everyday Concealed Carry of a G19? Thanks...
|
I mostly use my Milt Sparks VM2 iwb at 4 o'clock. I tried many iwb's and this is the most comfortable for me with best retention and most accesible position. Also i have started using a Raven Vangaurd 2 appendix carry rig that is also pretty comfortable. Both are comfortable and allow a quick draw and plenty of concealment. And since i typically wear shorts and a t shirt, concealment is the priority.

I carry my G19 in a Crossbreed Supertuck. No complaints, works good, comfortable.

I use a Blade-Tech Nano for IWB and an X-Concealment "C" for OWB. Both have been great holsters.

Comp-tac MTAC for my 19, and my 26.

VM-II or a Supertuck.
Everything else is just an imitation... |

Warm weather carry under an untucked t-shirt is with a Comp-tac IWB Infidel and more so lately AIWB with a Comp-tac Two O'clock. Cold weather with a jacket I go with the Comp-tac paddle FBI cant. Comp-tac gera just plain works very well. Good price and you get your gear fast. Bill

I've got an IWB and an OWB custom made from this forum member. Both will fit either my G19 or G26 perfectly. Prices are still very reasonable. Kydex. Snug fit (I've played basketball while carrying, no problem). Many options, and he'll even work with you if you want something different. I think his normal price is only$45, so it is still really a steal for a custom holster.
Here's his website (simple, but pictures, and easy to use order forms). http://pjholster.com/ |
Just this week I switched to a Taurus IWB. When the weather gets cooler again in September, I'll be switching back to the Taurus pancake.

Milt Sparks summer special 2! Brownells for 95 bucks! VM-2 are comfortable for many but the SS2 just fit my thinner build!

I guess I need to post my obligatory Remora recommendation. I CC a G26 with a Remora and I can carry my G19 in a Remora, too. Both, so far, haven't been a problem. PLUS .... I can take the entire package out and slip it into the space between the seat and console of my vehicle and PRESTO! -- car gun!

The BladeTech Nano, the MiltSparks Summer Special, and CompTac Infidel all look similar. Are they all just different brands' versions of the same concepts?

A good, inexpensive IWB I like for about any gun is the Don Hume 715 series. Has worked well for about every handgun I have owned.

I like my iwb Shielded Holster for my G19 and G26. It's very comfortable and stays put extremely well.I do recommend the combat cut as it gives a much easier grip. At $50, I think it's a good deal, but I actually bought a blem for $40 and I still haven't found the blemish.

My personal choice in Concealed Carry holster for a Glock 19 would be the Remora Series-10 "RFT" IWB Holster. Easily Concealable, I am a smaller frame individual and I have no problems with printing no matter what my wardrobe consists of that day. The material is very comfortable against the body, even in hot weather. Made in USA.

CBST for my 19 when I carry it. I usually am carrying my 26.
|
has anyone on GT posted about a Sky cop cross draw leather for glock 19 gen3
I just bought it from my brother gen4 fan I love the holster can carry on the strong sidetoo I love it very comfy and I had it on all day long at home leme know |
The best I've used so far is the Comp-Tac Infidel. Fits my G19 and G26, and isn't overly bulky. I'm sure there are better ones out there, but it was well worth the $50 or so I paid for it and I've had no reason to keep looking since I got it a couple years ago.

Good question. Try to find a CCW holder with just one holster. Many have a half dozen or so. I borrowed or tested a bunch:
OWB blade tech IWB I am using the N82 Pro. The Dale Fricke archangel is nice if you want to try appendix carry. My suggestion is to try one of the Crossbreed type as well Sent via Mental Power |
