Is a barrel and mag all I need to change my G30 to a G29.
Well folks, I just got my glock today and love it. Haven't shot it, but that little gun is bad ass looking, and feels awesome.
Anyway, I have been reading that the g29 and 30 are the same except for barrel and mag, if I buy a G29 barrel and mags, can I shoot 10mm out of it, or do I need to change other things such as the firing pin position? Is it that simple? |
You would need an aftermarket .45-10mm conversion barrel for the G30 with G20/29 magazines, and you may need to modify the extractor. Here's another thread about it, I've never seen the extractor modification discussed openly, it seems KKM sends out a piece of paper with the barrel that gives instructions on how to modify the .45 extractor to work best with both the original G30 barrel and their .45-10mm conversion barrel.

These barrels are bored a little offset due to the size difference in the .45 to .40 change over and most of them seem to work. Good luck and post your results. |
