Sig P226 in .22LR with 9mm conversion

I was in the local shop the other day looking at picking up a P226 in 9mm. The clerk working on the shop kept trying to push the .22 variant on me and add in the 9mm conversion for the same price as the 9mm only model. I held both versions but for some reason the .22 model just didnt have the right feel to it. It also didnt have a lot of the same stamps and markings as the true 9mm version. Was he pitching a good idea, and I am just being ignorant about the "combo-pack"? Or should I stick with my gut instinct and just go strictly with a 9mm version ( I am not that interested in a .22 as I have one that just collects dust).

I'd buy the standard 9mm.

:agree:

My 229ST was native in .40 S&W, I added 9mm Bar Sto barrel shortly thereafter, and last year bought a .22 conversion kit. If I wanted to shoot .357 Sig, I could add another barrel, and have four calibers on one platform. :)

No doubt, Mark :)

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

Thanks Brian.

Karen and I are gearing up for Christmas on the left coast with the children.
