338 what is the difference
 

My question should be easy, what is the difference in 338 winchester magnum and 338 lapua. What are the advantages and disadvantages to each?

The .338 Lapua has much more case capacity, and with the same mass bullets, should have 200-350 fps over the .338 WM. The .338 WM is really a short/mid-range hunting cartridge, while the .338LM is a long-range shooting cartridge.
