I went to the range to test the Norinco. Fired 75 rounds of reloaded FMJ from Armscor MCS. Had one stovepipe and five or six instances of the slide not locking back after the last round. All 75 rounds did fire, however, and there were no feeding problems. The very heavy trigger prevented me from properly gauging the accuracy, although all rounds did make a ragged two-inch diameter hole at 7 yards, and most probably even better accuracy with a better trigger.

Phase 2 is done. Now on to Phase 3: Going to the gunsmith for the Schuemann barrel replacement, trigger work and internals replacement. If the gun shoots well, Phase 4 is next. Coating, stippling, and aesthetics.

Eye Cutter 12-05-2011 02:17

extended slide stop yan di ba? you can have it ground down to normal length. you were probably hitting the slide stop with your support hand and or riding the slide hence the slide not locking back and the stove pipe.

kelan natin dadalhin kay churchil?

mtho 12-05-2011 03:48

For ipsc usually ayaw ng shooter mag lock back yung slide.

choi_tan2000 12-06-2011 06:35

Mtho bro yellow talga parang bumble bee hehe sayang i had 2 kart barrels na

Doc tama hehe pero plan ko rin gaitin sa classic 1911 and sana tapos na sa team bogs bakal

goodtj 12-10-2011 03:36

also building a classic division shooter

torn between getting a schuemann 45 AET bull barrel or just a conventional bull barrel which is better? pro? cons?

Taurus 12-10-2011 09:37

An AET bull barrel is probably more accurate than necessary for IPSC. I understand AET barrels are much more expensive and designed to give 2-inch groups at 50 yards. Regular Shuemann bull barrels are almost a accurate and will be more than adequate for IPSC-sized alpha zones at 25 yards.

Eye Cutter 12-10-2011 17:11

bro, aet ba yung barrel mo?

goodtj 12-10-2011 17:36

tnx for the info

the 45 aet is tempting because its here already, but its a 2-3 month wait for a barsto or regular shuemann bullbarrel

Eye Cutter 12-10-2011 18:20

magkano .45 aet and non aet?

Taurus 12-10-2011 22:57

I'm having a regular Ultimatch barrel fitted, bro. I'm not totally sure about the prices I think MTHO knows.

yes, frame is the same, slide is diff. i think only the ejector and magazine lang sa lower ang caliber specific

Eye Cutter 12-11-2011 22:55

9mm and 40cal meron has ramp cut. if you want to interchange with a different upper, papagawa ka pa ng block to fill the ramp cut for a non ramped .45cal barrel

Eye Cutter 12-11-2011 22:59

choi, yup sumali si carlo sa wa1500. DNF siya kasi nasira pistol nya. kaya napilitan gumawa ng SS project!

If you are using 40 and you load 9 or 10 you become minor. If you are 9mm/.40 and you load more than 10 you become open. Sa .40 hindi naman yata kaya magload more then 10.
