I saw that you posted about a prepaid phone for your get home bag; that's a good idea, and you're thinking is sound;
Unfortunately , as much as I like Glocktalk, the SHTF/Disaster section here sucks anymore;
A bunch of us started a new SHTF/Prep site, aimed at the family prepper and the homesteader; not too heavy in politics, religion, or some of the other stuff that clogs up a site, but focused on the nuts and bolts of stuff like get home bags, water systems, bugout plans, simple living, growing food, etc; You can ask questions honestly, without a bunch of obnoxious trolls hijacking the thread, and there is already some great info there.
Give it a look, and sign up; it's still small, but already there is a fair amount of stuff there.....
