We often hear people say, “The First Amendment gives me the right to say…” or “The Second Amendment gives me the right to have…”
Both statements are contradictory to the purpose of the Bill of Rights and the founding principles of America.
America was founded under the principle that we, as citizens, were endowed with certain rights, unlike in other countries, where rights are dispensations from the government. It’s what makes America unique.

This coming January 22nd, will mark the thirty-eighth anniversary of the the Supreme Court's landmark ruling in the case of Roe v. Wade. And despite of the media's attempt to elevate the anniversary date to red-letter status, the country is still sharply divided over the Court's decision. In fact, the number one question looming over any nominee to sit on the Supreme Court, well, any nominee by a Republican administration, is "how will they rule regarding Roe v. Wade?"

Have you heard about NY Rep. Peter King's proposed gun-control legislation in the wake of the Arizona shootings? Rep. King has proposed legislation what would make it illegal to possess a firearm within 1000 ft. of a federal official.

With bailouts, stimulus packages, unemployment extensions and a myriad of government payouts added to the national debt, we have entered the era of the trillion-dollar expenditure.
A trillion here, a trillion there, and after several times of hearing the trillion-dollar figure, it actually sounds affordable.

Oftentimes, those who advocate for additional "common-sense" gun-control legislation, counter the Second Amendment's prohibition against the infringement of the right of the people to keep and bear arms with a canard of the anti-gun left, that is supposed to be an end-all argument in support of limiting the scope of the Second Amendment, by comparing that to a supposed limitation on the First Amendment's guarantee of freedom of speech .
