I still have the G30. The thickness wasn't noticeable at first, but over time became more so. That was further compounded by the laser sight that I added.

Hi Chuck,
Bruce sent my 226ST out to a Superblack finisher. Superblack is not a coating, but a finish at the molecular level much like Ionbond.
One of Bruce's or Roy's posts on SigForum decribes the process.
