Your post about what gun to use against bears was one of the best I have ever read. So much so I copied it to a word document for later study if I wish to visit this again. I just bought a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan for the same purpose as the thread starter here. Only to be used while hiking generally, though I will CCW it at times. Take care.
