At one point Obama actually was reduced to begging Jim Lehrer to change the subject. Obama's entire demeanor was of a petulant adolescent who was getting a much-needed verbal thrashing and trying his best to smirk his way through the ordeal.

Romney strategically gained the upper hand by refusing to allow Lehrer to stifle his responses, a tactic all the uber-liberal moderators try to impose when their pet candidate's doing poorly. I look for the moderators of the next two debates to double down on their attempts to stifle Romney, given the mainstream media's massive collective psychological investment in Barack Obama. /Quote
