Obama, the Left, and the long struggle

I think many people are puzzled by the aggressive nature of the IRS under the control of the Obama admin. They shouldn't be. I wrote this in another forum, and I'd figured I share with my GTPI friends:

Obama learned early on how to tap into the progressive elites' desires to slake their white guilt. They desire to be ruled by a non-white who talks like them, went to an Ivy-League university like them, and who is "articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy". They wanted a younger Morgan Freeman god-like charismatic leader to lead them to the promised land of Utopia.

The Left wants a Moses figure VERY badly. You see, they are the chosen people. They know the way to where mankind needs to progress to, but they never seem to find it. They are wandering in the desert of failed liberal programs. This is an emotion-driven pseudo-religion.
The 19th century socialists had an Anglican influence.

So, these people were ripe to be exploited by Obama. The Chicago political machine used the ever-willing Chicago media to open sealed divorce records of two separate political opponents of Obama. Hardly, the tactic of a moral group of people.

Then we come to the unwashed masses who vote Democrat. What can we say? Dumbed down by decades of progressive, union education, these people can hardly write. They don't have a clue about American history let alone the history of Western Civilization. They are adrift. With no known past, they are easily sold on the Utopian dreams of the future or if that fails brided with promises of gov't programs based on money seized from the "rich". But, even these people can reject the progressve message from time to time, so the progressives are going for the final option. They mean to flood the US with people from the Third World. They will bring change in from outside. This is well underway in Europe.

The children and grandchildren of the Europeans who voted for socialism in the post-WWII era are being forced to accept similar immigration. Simply, being socialist wasn't enough change. Now, they are going to be replaced via social engineering.

The Fabian society really got the ball rolling back in the late 19th century. They adopted a strategy of gradual change not revolution. This is why socialism seems to continually advance even in America year by year, federal program by federal program. They adopted the strategy of the Roman general Fabius Maximus. He used a strategy of a long war of attrition and avoiding pitched battles with Hannibal. It was a wise strategy, when faced with a genius like Hannibal who none the less was vulnerable to poor support from Carthage and Roman allies refusing to turn on Rome.

Non-progressives i.e. conservatives, centrists, independents, and libertarians need to understand that the progressives are playing a lone game to eventually relieve them of their liberty. The nation cannot have liberty and socialist Utopia. We will have to be disarmed and the Fabians are always waiting for the next madman's massacre to use as political capital in their long war against non-progressives. Their allies of convenience are Islamists. They too are fighting a long war against traditional Western Civilization.

The West is in a long war with socialists (insert what ever their current name is here) and Islam. The socialists may so weaken the West- economically, morally, with negative population growth driven by decadence and high taxation, Muslim immigration etc. that Islam wins in the end. A civilization needs an economy and a population to resist external threats. The main reason Islam roared out of the Arabian peninsula was because The Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantines) and the Parthians (Iranians) had exhausted themselves in long wars.

Non-progressives better recognize what is going on and ban together or they will be trapped unarmed in a society that George Orwell warned us about. Conflict isn't fair. It often goes to the most determined, the most willful. Are we willful enough to resist?

Stopped by the range last thursday to put 50 rds of Federal 180 gr through my 2nd gen G-23. This is my most accurate Glock and if I am not carrying my 2.5 gen G-27, the 23 is on me. Anyway fired a 13 rd mag, reloaded and about four rounds away, experience my FIRST unscheduled fail to feed jam.:crying:I have never experienced a Glock jam on me, except at the Sheriffs Academy years ago when we added dummy rounds for that type drill. Shocked:faint:, you bet, round did not feed and was caught its nose on the barrel hood. Cleared no problem, since I was on the range, I expected to see a misformed bullet, but that was not the case. I reloaded it into the mag, hand cycled it and fired on. Over twenty years of daily Glocking, and it was bound to happen...................

My life insurance policy, had never failed before:dunno:, so I took it home and stripped and cleaned it like I always do after a range session, then completly disasembled the slide and cleaned it all again. Will shoot it again this comming thursday, still have compleet confidence in it and its mag, just never had it happen to me before with a Glock.:embarassed:

I just turned 30 recently, and I'm trying to get a move on in my life. I'm seriously lacking in the Job Skills department, and I've decided that, if Law Enforcement isn't going to work, then I could wake up every day going to work as a HEO.

I just don't know how to get trained.

Can anyone give me advice on this subject? Licensing, training, certifications, etc etc? Ideally, I picture myself driving a giant Caterpillar Tractor in a Construction Sight somewhere. But quite frankly, I'll be happy with whatever I start out with, even if it's just operating a Fork Lift for a year first.

Unfortunately, all I knew for six and a half years was being a Security Officer. It was not glamorous, and the pay was atrocious. Beyond that, I don't have much else in the way of work experience, so this would be a complete change for me. I am also not currently employed with anyone, so I would be able to devote my entire time and focus to this subject.

I'm open to going to a Vocational Hands-On College/School, but preferably, nothing more than that. I'm not planning on going to a University to get a 4 or 6 year degree in Engineering; never mind the fact that my math skills suck balls. But I'm assuming that I don't need an Engineering Degree to operate something with 3,000 (or whatever) horsepower and 4 wheels (or treads).

Again, any information is greatly appreciated. I live in Washington State, bordering Portland, Oregon. So chances are more likely than not that I would have to get employed somewhere in the Portland City limits, since that's where the majority of business is operating out of in this area of the Pacific North-West.

Painting Protecting the Floor, Carpet ?

460 rowland ammo testing

Awhile back I converted my G21 to 460rowland (yes it's ported, I apparently like abuse :crying: )...

If you spend much time on the Internet researching 460rowland, you'll find reports of various problems with this setup including FTE with 45acp (some recoil springs appear to be too stiff) and FTF heavier 460rowland rounds without double magazine springs. Rather than being discouraged, I actually like the chance to test and fine tune my build to find the perfect setup. :cool:

Since a lot of the users in the reports are using different guns with different kits or custom work...I decided to start testing as many different kinds of ammo I can get my hands on in my own G21 gen4 460rowland.com conversion. Maybe it's just a strong desire to shoot the thing...a lot...after waiting three months for it to arrive.

While I try to be as "scientific" as possible, this is in no way complete. I need to do a lot more shooting to draw real conclusions, but wanted to start sharing my findings to date in case they're useful to other shooters. My hope is others will add their own findings, and we can all learn from one another, dispel some myths, and zero in on the optimal 460 round.

To get us started, here are the contenders for this post:

For each of the 460rowland loads I started by firing a number of rounds through a "regular" G21 gen4 magazine and compared performance to the same magazine with an extra spring (two standard 10-coil G21 springs mated together as suggested around various forums).

I also fired 45acp and 45acp +P to ensure reliable cycling of the slide with the stiffer recoil spring. To be complete, I added some 45super from Buffalo Bore to the mix just to ensure it worked reliably (though I didn't have doubts in this regard).

The good news is, despite several reports to the contrary, I was able to successfully shoot 45acp (even standard pressure) through my G21 conversion with the stiffer recoil spring -- no problems! From what I understand, this would no longer be the case if I went with the sprinco (don't take my word for it, email them and ask)...though it would make the gun easier to shoot for longer periods of time (thinking of doing this).

In 45acp I've shot 100 rounds of Federal Hydra-Shok 230gr, 100 rounds Federal HST 230gr +P and 100 rounds of Corbom 185gr +P with no FTE or FTF problems. This was of course out of the standard Glock magazine (no extra spring since it's just 45acp and feeds as expected).

Next up was 45super with the standard single-spring magazine. 100 rounds each of Buffalo Bore in 185gr and 230gr. No FTE or FTF from 185gr, 1 FTF from the 230gr. Not sure if this is an anamoly (still breaking in the barrel) or the heavier bullet needing the double mag spring. Had the FTF about 20 rounds in, switched to double spring magazine and shot all remaining rounds with no problems.

I then shot several boxes of 460rowland, again starting with the single-spring magazine. 60 rounds each of Buffalo Bore (185gr @ 1500fps), Wilson Combat (200gr Hornady XTP @ 1340fps) and Corbon (230gr @ 1250fps). The Buffalo Bore and WC/Hornady ran flawlessly. The Corbon had two FTF within 10 rounds. Switched to the double-spring magazine and ran until empty with no problems.

Overall this seems to show good performance from the conversion with either 45acp (standard or high pressure loads), 45super and 460rowland in all common bullet weights. That said, it does seem like heavier bullets really need the extra mag spring.

Again, to be sure I really need to make a few more trips to the range and run more rounds of each through the kit...So far, it seems like 200gr is a sweet spot. The WC/Hornady rounds are easier to shoot (not as hot as the Buffalo Bore) and feed consistently in my 13rd G21 mags.

FWIW, all behaved similarly at 7-20yds in terms of POA/POI. They are as accurate as the shooter. :whistling:

The guy at the store told me it's "basically Israel's version of the federal xm193 I've heard good things about.

If it matters, I live in a basement apartment, where any direction but up would be into drywall, concrete, and dirt.

A friend's new laptop came with that OS and apparently, its email client limits which servers it will communicate with. Her email service is not on the list.

Is that true? If someone has an IMAP account at xyz.com is there a way to configure Windows 8 email for that server?

She's looking for a client that can import a M.S. Outlook .pst file.

I'm not into Windows. I'm suspecting PST is a proprietary format that other clients can't import.

She tried Thunderbird since it's free, but that client has no support for PST importing.

Perhaps, she needs to buy Outlook for the new laptop.

She is a former FBI translator who is making some pretty heavy claims about the CIA and their involvment with terrorist groups, including al qaeda, right up until 9/11 happened.

I own a Glock30sf that has been 100% reliable. If I wanted to convert it to 10mm what would be involved? Can I just buy a 10mm barrel and new magazine for 10mm, install them and shoot 10mm? Are there any other mods required such as recoil spring, ejector??

I just rented this from iTunes and watched it. My God, did THAT suck! I spent most of the movie wondering what they blackmailed Brad Pitt with to get him on board, but then I saw in the credits that he co-produced it. Maybe it was a class project at the Tarantino Wannabee Fantasy Film-maker Camp.

J-frame Holsters, What do you use?

The purpose of this thread is trying to find a new, lightweight and more comfortable carry option for my S&W 642's.

I've done pocket carry awhile with a Desantis Superfly, but it doesn't work well in shorts with small front pockets. The draw is less than optimal. As a BUG in the support side pocket it's okay, but not great for a main gun.

I've tried the belly band. Don't like it. Although I have a slender build it feels too awkward.

Have a Desantis Die Hard ankle holster. Too inaccessible in most situations (except seated) and not even doable when wearing shorts. I only use this for deep concealment.

Tried OWB holsters, don't like the retention straps on them, or the fact that my shirt can ride up when reaching and expose the bottom of the holster.

I want to carry AIWB, or IWB strong side at about 3:30. I have a couple M-tacs for my Glocks and HK's but don't want to make a small lightweight revolver huge by way of using a large holster. In addition, all that added holster material is going to, due to the cylinder, make it thicker than a Glock when carried IWB.

Thoughts and input appreciated. Share what you use for your snubby. :)
