    Your posting is correct. I live in Los Angeles. The average household has a 3 day supply of food and ditto to the typical supermarket. The average household does not have 3 days of water. In any event, after three days, the unskilled, average Joe has a real problem. I worked as a volunteer in disaster communications. There is no rescue plan for Los Angeles. If the medical supplies stockpiled by the federal government were distributed equally to each hospital, the contents would fill up the bed of a pick up truck. Yep, I was trained in survival skills and it is a crap shoot if I will survive 30 days - and I accept that.
