Good thread with an excellent diversity of opinion (None of it, 'wrong')!

I love Ballistol; and, as for the smell, well ....... I could wear it as aftershave! Someone should add to this thread that Ballistol works best if you let it sit in the barrel for, at least, several hours before cleaning; and letting it sit in the bore overnight would be even better.

A Subjective Analysis Of Glock's Current BTF Problems

Unlike my two other Glock pistols which perform flawlessly and throw ejected brass, horizontally, out to the right and anywhere from 6 to 10 feet, I also own a troublesome 3rd generation G-19 with a, 'P' prefix serial number that regularly ejects hot brass directly at my head.

What Is Glock Trigger Stacking?

Whenever a Glock, ‘Safe-Action’ trigger is pressed - but NOT pressed all the way to the rear, thus, fully releasing the striker lug - the mechanical relationship between the sear, and the striker lug changes.

The edge of the sear does NOT return to the exact same spot it was in, higher up, on the striker lug before either light, or repeated pressure was applied to the trigger, and/or trigger bar.

PART ONE: How To Completely Disassemble A Glock Pistol

SLIDE ASSEMBLY TAKEDOWN -

(1) Should begin with removal of the magazine – Full removal, and storage away from the work area.

(2) Then lock the slide back for, both, visual and tactile verification that the chamber is empty.

(3) Lower the slide; point the pistol in a safe direction, and pull the Trigger.

(4) Slightly withdraw the slide and pull down on the slide lock. Ease the slide and barrel assembly forward until it’s off...
