SR338 - My Unexplainable Compulsion

I recently went through the pain of getting all the unlocks for Battlefield 4s fantasy gun, the SR338. I found it to be a difficult gun to use successfully. When I switched back to using the MG4, I was reminded of the joke where someone is asked why they are hitting themselves in the head with a hammer. The predictable answer, “That it feels so good when...

Gulag Moon

Posted 08-20-2012 at 02:11 by MinervaDoe

In Gulag Moon, the story focuses on Zach Murphy's disastrous early military experiences as he learns first hand about being on the receiving end of technologically advanced weaponry. The action begins as the Mining Syndicate drops a thousand obsolete factory workers off in a forest, gulag style. To survive, the workers must learn to fend for themselves, and eventually, they must confront the Syndicate and fight.

Posted 12-18-2011 at 12:55 by MinervaDoe

>) Welcome. Please tell us a little something about your novel.
Gulag moon is the prequel to my Chronos Military Science fiction series. I have a central character, Zach Murphy, throughout the series and I wanted to go back to when he was younger and show how disastrous his early experience with the local militia of Rybos Five really was. The novel starts off with the mining Syndicate dropping off a bunch of obsolete factory workers in a forest and follows their successful efforts to survive....

I enjoy action movies. Lately, my ten year old son and I have been especially immersed in science fiction with the Stargate series, but outside of that genre, I find myself revisiting a half dozen films for the fight choreography. For gunfights, Open Range, Tombstone, We Were Soldiers, and the Lost Battalion are at the top of my list. For martial arts, a lot of movies come to mind, but not all hold my attention.

It is ironic that several movies that I really enjoy the fight sequences...
