I use an Oehler to do the vel. AS to improved SD; most powders will show less spread as the pressures increase. The higher pressres often mean better combustion. You see the same thin in compresses loads, very uniform vel, but all powders are not compressable.Posted 01-02-2013 at 09:43 by fredj338

Good stuff, Fred. How do you explain the improved standard deviation when shortening the 9mm FMJ loads? Is that an effect of the pressure/velocity or is it possibly a result of the way the bullet is seated?Posted 02-23-2012 at 18:54 by TX Archer
